Hi DNN Users,

I have managed to successfully restore a hosted DNN 4.9 website to my PC locally (localhost). I have run up the website in the browser after making appropriate edits to web.config and the 'portalalias' SQL table etc. All looks ok however the images are not displayed. See below...

Local non-displayed reference resulting in traditional red crossed out symbol in the top left corner of the image with the original image not displayed :

http://localhost:2014/Portals/0/Based%20in%20Salford%20Quays%20in%20Manchester%20soon%20to%20be%20home%20to%20the%20BBC%20at%20MediaCityUK.JPG

Image on the hosted site (which is working) :

http://www.mawhitfield.net/Portals/0/Based%20in%20Salford%20Quays%20in%20Manchester%20soon%20to%20be%20home%20to%20the%20BBC%20at%20MediaCityUK.JPG

Do I need a location reference (or references) change to be applied to the database in order to reconcile the location of the images? If so, what update do I need to make and to what SQL table? Is there a script I can use.

Thanks in advance users for any help here... I am so near to having a working local DNN website here so any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

MARK.

Mark,

Is your issue that you want to reference the images at www.mawhitfield.net when using your localhost site?  Or do you have the images locally, and they just aren't being displayed?

There isn't a particularly easy way to change those images references to point to a non-local URL.  I would suggest just bringing the images locally.  If you don't want to do that, you could consider setting up your site in IIS, and creating the /Portals/0/ directory as a virtual directory that redirects to mawhitfield.net/Portals/0/.

Hope it helps,
