I am looking for a way to monitor users as they are actively using one of my portals.  For example a client wants to be able to initiate a chat with a user when they have landed on a specific page.  A real example is if you're on one of dell's computer conifguration pages for more than a couple minutes, a lightbox pop ups that asks you if you would like to initiate a chat with a dell sales person.  Does anyone know of a module that can handle something like this?

Thanks,

Chase

So basically you want a module that has a timer on it that starts ticking as soon as a user hits a page.  If they stay for a pre-specified time then they are presented with some sort of image/link that they can then go to another page to initiate a chat?

Don't know of one, but I could write it.

Essentially yes.  I would like for it to be a lightbox though over just an image or link popping up.  I didn't even think about the possibilities of doing it with javascript.  Might be pretty easy.

Mitchel Sellers just released a module http://www.iowacomputergurus.com/free-products/dotnetnuke-modules/pop-n-go.aspx that gets you pretty far down the road.  You would need to add the timer functionality I think.

visit www.JangoStudios.net and wait for the pop-up.  Is that what you're looking for?
