Hi,

Does anybody know how you can copy a module in Page A to (an existing) Page B, such that the newly created module in Page B has it's settings and content entirely independent of the module in Page A?  In essence this would be a copy and paste operation, which I would like to achieve without creating a new page B and with the minimum of 'messing about'.  I assume someone has done this before, but I can't find any reference to how/if it can be done - maybe I'm just not searching/reading well enough!

Many thanks,
John

This is a common issue that is raised at least 2 or 3 times a month. Its been reported in Gemini often yet nothing seems to be done.

John, you're not alone.  Very few understand why there is no Copy function and for some reason we seem to have tried to re-invent the word Copy in the DNN environment  I know of know other environments where the Copy keyword means Shadow or Mirror.

All I can suggest is that you report it at http://support.gemini.com and hopefully it will be actioned in due course.

Cheers,
Andrew

Thanks for that Andrew, I had a feeling that might be the response!  It does seem weird that copying isn't there, you would have thought it an obvious and easy enough feature to produce by comparison to the 'mirroring' option that currently exists.

We'll have to go about it the manual way in the mean time I guess

Thanks again,
John
