Hello,

I'm frustrated by DNN, when I login to a site, I can't even find anywhere that tells me the version info on DNN, so how am Imeant to know how to go about creating a module for it?  But thats a side issue...

What I need is a single simple page that contains a list of the currently logged in user roles and their expiration dates.  To me this seems simple if I was to write it in aspx or php it might be 10 lines of code max.  But I don't even know where to begin with DNN and I'd really prefer not to write a module for it.  Can anyone tell me how to do this easily?  Or say how to quickly create a single page that outputs the result of a database query?  How hard can it be?

Thanks

Joe

JB

Login as Host (or another super user) and go to the Host Settings page and you can see what version of DNN you're running.

As for users and their expiration dates, try installing the Reports module then configuring the SQL to generate your data. here's some quick SQL that might get you what you want (you can remove the line breaks if you'd like to do it in fewer lines....

select

username, ur.expirydate

from

users u

join

join

userroles ur on (u.userid= ur.userid) roles r on (ur.roleid=r.roleid)

where

r.rolename = 'registered users'

and

r.portalid=0

Ah, there is hope :-)

Can the reports module call a stored procedure?

Basiclaly I want to know that the currently loggedd in user is in a group called TLAS and that the expiary date is sometime in the future.

So my stored proc would need to take the userid as a paramater... how would I pass that tot he stored proc from the reporting module?

Thanks

Josh

JB, I believe it can, but I'm not positive. You might try posting in the Reports module forum and see if someone there can better answer the question.
