DNN version: 04.07.00, Documents module version: 04.01.00

When I specify a default folder in the Document module settings, then use the module to add a document, the default folder remains as "Root," ignoring my setting.  As a result, my users are uploading files into the root, rather than the folders I've set up for them.  The specified target folder, and all folders in its path, allow "All Users" to view folder and write to folder.

What can I do to ensure that the module defaults to the folder I specify?

Mike,

This is very interesting, I just re-tested this using DNN 4.8.4 and it is working ok.  I'm not aware of any issues with DNN 4.7.0 but I'll see what I can find.

Sorry for the delayed response, I didn't get notification.

this has worked for me in the past but with version 4.00.01 on dnn 4.8.4 it defaults to root even though I have another folder set.

I am using DNN 04.08.01 and the latest Documents Module 04.01.00 and cannot make the change to default folder stick either. I change it while loggd in as Admin or Host under Settings and make sure I update it.....When I go to add a new doc, it has reverted back to root. I would much rather it be set on my chosen default folder so they dont' upload into root....Since I am the second one that stated they are using the new module with dnn 4.08, maybe it is true that upgrading to 4.09 would fix this? I am in a setting where I really don't want to do this right now untill I can test the site out fully. If anyone has had this issue and were using less than dnn 4.09 and fixed it, please let me know.
