The easiest way to do this is to use the built-in  userinfo procedure.  Add this to your code file...

Dim objUserInfo As UserInfo
Dim objUsers As New UserController
objUserInfo = objUsers.GetCurrentUserInfo()

Dim currentuserid As Integer = CType(objUserInfo.UserID, Integer)

If you look around in objUserInfo.??? You will notice a lot of user data you have access to.

Where can I find the UserInfo and UserController objects? Everytime I type "Dim objUserInfo as" the intellisence pops up, but UserInfo isn't one of the choices.

All profile infomation is now available in the UserInfo namespace.  To access any profile data, all you have to do is

UserInfo.[profilefield]

Basically, you no longer need to specifically request the GetCurrentUserInfo stored proc

To get the userid, just use UserInfo.UserID  Nothing else is needed.
