 Hi All,

Does anyone know how to hide an ASCX from the DotNetNuke skin dropdown?  I have built a couple of user controls that I've placed in the skin's folder.  They are used by the skins, but I don't want users to accidently be able to select them as skins.  any ideas?

Hi Tony,

If you placed controls under the skin folder, it will be visible as a skin control.
well you can create a folder, lets say we name it includes folder and you can place user controls in there. DNN will only detect the root folder and ignoring the nested folders.

illustration as follow:

Skin Folder
-- Default.ascx
-- Content.ascx
-- Includes(folder)
---- MyUserControl.ascx (Not visible in dropdownlist)

Hope this help.
