I'm a relatively new DNN user and I have a doubt about some stuff.

1st: Does the News module have a tool to insert a "read more" break? I'm used to Joomla's article module which I personally think is really comfortable in that sense. I don't like the idea of having to put a lot of long news articles on my home page, so I would appreciate it if someone taught me how to do it, without having to write a "read more" link and manually create pages for each extended news.

2nd: I know u guys are developing the new Media Gallery Module, but does anyone know about some "unofficial" cool gallery module some user made?

1: i think you should look at the announcement module, which has a read more feature. For a more full fledged module you can use any number of commercial ones. the News Articles module by Ventrian is inexpensive and quite good, if you want to go up market, you can look at the Publish module by Engage, which has also a lot of features

2: check out the DNN marketplace or Snowcovered for gallery modules. Again: Ventrian has a very good gallery module
