Hey Jon,

I accidentally posted to the skinning forum about this, but I have a feeling this would be a more appropriate area. Bascially, I watched your video about the new token system in DNNMenu v2.0 and I'm quite anxious to try it out. I just am having difficulty identifying when v2.0 is going to be available. Is this going to be a DNN5 release, or are there plans to let us tool around with it in DNN4? The reason I ask is that the company I work for probably won't begin DNN5 production sites until at least one point-build later (going 3 to 4 gave our SysAdmin nightmares so he is hesitant about .0 releases) and I am very anxious to start getting my paws dirty with the new controls.

the first public release of dnn menu2 is with 5.0 - AFAIR part of the reason is that 5.0 is the first dnn release that requires ms ajax which some of the webcontrols in the dll require. i haven't tested this so don't hold me to it, but i believe you will be able to copy the DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll from the 5.0 release into an earlier version of dotnetnuke- i don't believe it has a dependency on the dotnetnuke.dll version, the only non asp.net namespace reference i can see is DotNetNuke.WebUtility v3.2 which is the same version referenced in the 4.8 + versions.

Cathal is right, the only the new menu will run in previous versions of DNN4.x as long as MSAJAX is enabled and installed on the webserver and you have the corresponding version of WebControls AND WebUtility that gets included in DNN5.  When DNN5 releases I will post the separate download on my project download page.
