A phpBB conversion Delima

I know Activeforums 3.5 is not a core module but I really need some assistance and it seems will has either not been monitoring the forums on active modules or he doesnt want to approve my post as all the forums there are moderated and posts require approval. So, Here I am!

I have a bit of a problem. I have been trying to get a phpBB converted for a small nonprofit. The problem is there are a number of members of this organization that are decent perspective clients and are watching this project closely. It is now 30 days since my initial contact with ActiveModules. I have to assume that the great success has overwhelmed them and they suffer from too much work and not enough time. I purchased the forum with the hope that between the promise of  “
Now Available: Conversion utilities to migrate from Adverageous and DNN Core Forums.  We also offer conversion services for phpBB and Snitz Forums.” . So now I have a bit of a problem. I think Will is to busy to help me, in fact to busy to even respond. I am jammed up and could really use some help! The group is expecting to launch this site at the announcement of a state grant for some land “reclamation” and it seems that this date is in jeopardy now. This is an important time for them as they will get some free news coverage and are hoping to bolster their affect in the region with this promotion. A forum is integral to that success. All of my attempts to import the old forum have “crashed and burned” to say the least. I know enough to be dangerous (and break LOTS of things ;) ) but apparently not enough to get this import right. Now with 30 days wasted and a deadline staring me square in the eyes I am reaching out to anyone out there who can assist me with this process. I will compensate as necessary. The budget is small but there is a budget.

Here is the information that I have at this point. Any other information needed can be requested at my primary email address included below or here.

 Here is the phpBB Details.

The total size of the data is only 4.7Mb.

The phpBB version is 2.06.

Board Stats:

Our users have posted a total of 2294 articles
We have 183 registered users

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I can be reached at “mark at nwpa.net” or here of course.

hmm. I decided to focus on ASP instead of PHP due to interoperability considerations, so I use Snitz forum software...

as I see, the ASP guru sites and their owners are overwhelmed by the need to stabilize their projects due to ASP.Net 2.0/SqlExpress getting them ajaxified. There is also a general run on Open Source Software from various people who don't have the skills or the time about it...

You can see this here, or in ASP.Net forums, or in Active forums. A chance may be, to join a site where integration issues are the point, not just a product or a technology. A kind of Next-Step thing. - If you find one, please let me know. - I'm looking by myself for this...

regards, Jürgen
