I did a quick search, but I can't find anything on this.  I downloaded DotNetNuke_04.09.00_Source and started up the DotNetNuke_VS2008.sln in 2008.  On compile, it has numerous errors, some dealing with older null types and some dealing with missing Imports.  I was had the understanding that anything past 4.6 worked with the 3.5 framework and in VS 2008.  Did I grab the wrong thing?  I'm hoping there is an easy solution since I really would like to be able to work with the source code.

DotNetNuke uses .Net 2.0 by default. You may upgrade it to 3.5 using Visual Studio auto-upgrade wizard.

Well I used the non 2008 solution and the wizard and it seems to working so far.  I guess the next question is:  What is the 2008 solution for?

It is there for developers that want to use VS 2008

Remember that VS 2008 can target different versions of .Net, not just 3.5
