Ajax: I am currently running DNN 4.09 and Events Module 4.0.2 (on a Godaddy server). Reading through previous posts I noted that you added support for ajax in a previous build of Events, but it seems that even though I have ajax enabled on the host (and it works with other modules, ie. FAQ) the events module always redraws the entire screen. This is really a problem for my particular page in that the events module is not at the top of the page, so the user has re-scroll the page to get back to the events listing. Is there a setting in the module that I need to toggle?

Delisting Events: Is there a way to have expired events "de-list" themselves or is the only way to edit the event manually and delete it?

Thanks.

Hi Jim,

I'd probably need to get Ernst Peter to respond to the first point. Hopefully he'll be able to answer when he gets back. But I think you need to check in the Module Definitions that Partial rendering is enabled. It maybe you will need to get Godaddy to check that since it is in the Host Menu.

Delisting is a feature that is being added in the next release. It will be configurable in module settings, to automatically remove events prior to a set number of days.

Cheers
Roger

Roger,

Thanks for the follow-up. Ajax is working on the host -- the FAQ module takes full advantage of it (those instant screen redraws are nice!)

I did login as Host and looked in the module definitions for the Events partial rendering setting and it is checked. But the page still completely redraws any time I navigate within the Events module. As you suggested, maybe Ernst Peter can offer an option for me to try. I would sure like to get it working. As it stands, the only viable option would be to redesign the page so that Events module is as near the top of the page as possible, so the redraw won't cause the user to have rescroll the page so often.

Great news on delisting. My client really likes the calander view and since she offers cooking classes those expired events are a distraction.

Jim
