If I'm a typical skin developer with a skin for sale that comes in say 10 colors with 6 skin layouts, what is the best strategy for a skin viewer / preview for potential customers to try out the skin in all its glory and options?

I could create 60 child portals - one for each combination and link them up, but that seems crazy (and a lot of work).

Is there a clever way (via cookies perhaps) to have one child portal where the user can choose from a Color menu and a Layout menu independently and see that combination skin? The choice would have to persist as the customer views the other pages of the test portal. I've seen this done on other skin seller sites and am wondering if there's a "standard" way to do this.

Thanks for any guidance on this!

The skin layout remains the same and it's truly just color that changes, I'd suggest using Ajax and a quick demo page.

You can ajax in a new CSS file.
