I can't get the skin to apply to my search page for some some reason. It owrks on every other page of the site. Just not the search page even though I have it selcted in the page settings options. Any ideas?

please note, that the forums module has its own themes.

Yes, but I'm referring to the area outside of the forum. Not the appearance/colors of the forum itself.

When I bring up my forum page, and look through the posts, the pages all have the beige background and headers that we've created.

But when I click on "Search" the page background, header and overall appearance of the page reverts to the default (white) dotnetnuke skin.

When a user clicks "search" or "my settings" in the forums, those pages revert to the "admin" skin.  You can change this skin at Admin > Site Settings > Appearance > Admin Skin.

I've run into the same issue as you in that I've designed a skin specifically for administrators only, but end users are able to see it in these two instances.
