It should work fine in 2008, I would assume you just need to be careful of how you configure the app pool, in Vista I run the app pool in classic mode to make DNN work.

DNN works fine in IIS 7, even in (faster) integrated (pipeline) app pool mode, however you need to be careful with settings of authentication and impersonation.

Hi,

I'm trying to get DNN 4.9.0 working on Windows 2008 Web + IIS 7, but I'm stuck at the point where I need to "Test Permissions". I have set the permissions on "C:\HostingSpaces\integrat\integratedhome" for NETWORK SERVICE to "Modify, Read & Write", yet I still get an error "Your site failed the permissions check."

What else do I need todo?

DNN works wonderfully well on Windows server 2008. We have several customers using it on our Windows 2008 boxes without any issues.

With regards to your issue regarding the permissions, you will need to ensure that the permissions are properly setup while running the installer. You will need to enable 'read/write/modfy' permissions to the required directories before installer can proceed further. If you have access to an online control panel (like DotNetPanel), you will be able to setup these permissions from the control panel itself (File Manager). Otherwise, you will need to consult with your web host to get this done manually.

Hope this helps.
