US DNNers are smart people.   We should have setup a DNN politics thread a long time ago, it would have been a blast.  Next time around let's do it.

It was mentioned that Obama would be a conservative in Europe.

This point really highlights the differences between the U.S. and Europe culturally and honestly I love it.

I love travelling to Europe and viewing Europeans lives' as an outsideer looking in.  It is vastly different and I enjoy the difference.  However, I love coming home again.

As I say to my wife.  I love leaving Indiana and I love coming back!

Stuart

p.s. I have always thought it would be could to do some sort of weekly video blog where I share my wife life with someone in Europe and they share their life.  Just showing off the common things that we each take for granted as "normal".  Anyone interested?

Great post Scott!  Your lifestyle is extremely similar to mine and I think you do a much better job expressing your point of view than I do so I'll just say that I really hope we get a president in office with views that line up with yours.

Hi Stuart,

I love traveling to the US as much as you do to Europe probably. I think deep in our hearts all the world's citizens share something that finds its epitome in the US of A.

I'd love to share video blogs of life here, but I fear that time and work pressure will be at odds. Maybe if I have found an easy way to transform video to uploadable stuff I'll get into this. And it'd have to be DNN of course.

Peter

I wanted to a long time ago, but didnt want to go "off-topic".  That said, someone should open an off-topic forum that we can BS in. Any mods reading this request?

Peter,

oh boy!  We should do this!   You aren't by chance heading to OpenForce next week in Vegas?  If so, we should do dinner and discuss.  If not, I might have your email ;) (side note, I am working on some customizations to the DMX module right now!).

Basically, I am thinking we would each only need to make 1 video every two weeks.

Name....   2 nerds, one world

:)

Stuart

p.s. Back on topic, I am teaching tonight, but I will hop on the thread around 11 p.m. eastern to post some thoughts, hopefully others will too!
