I'm building a module and I need to show a summary of some content, then click-through to the full content.

Now I could simply create this in pages/tabs - however my requirements mean I can't.

I'm using the standard module template, can anyone point me in the right direction for how I should go about this? I'm guessing copying some of the functionality of the View control will be the starting point? Any help would be great, thanks.

Hi,

I see at least 3 options:

1. Use a asp:placeholder for the summary and have another asp:placeholder with visible set to false for the details and if they click the <read more... > link just postback to your page and hide the first placeholder and open the second.

2. Use a asp:placeholder and fill with either the summary or the details through loadcontrol (your view control loads either a summary.ascx or a details.ascx)

3. Create an extra control (like view / settings / edit) and call it details. Then when someone clicks the <read more>... use EditUrl("details") or a navigateurl equivalent to navigate to the details control
