Hi

I moved the content from one portal to another.
The exporting/importing of the content of most modules went smootless.
Some modules I changed with sql the portalId from the old to the new one.
Now I want to move/copy the users.
I tried to do this with sql in the database.
When I use the command:

UPDATE userportals SET portalID (newportal number) WHERE portalID (oldportal number)

I get the following error
There is an error in your query!

Somebody has an advise for me?
With regards, Ton Hermes

Ton,

you should not touch existing portal user accounts and you need to add userroles as well.

Basic idea for the SQL Statement (you might add additional fields like AuthorizedAt etc)

INSERT INTO userportals (userID, PortalID) SELECT {newportalID}, userID FROM userPortals WHERE PortalID = {oldportalID}

replace {} expressions with portal number!

Hi Sebastian,

INSERT INTO userportals (userID, PortalID, UserPortalID, CreatedDate, Authorised) SELECT {26}, UserID, PortalID, UserPortalID, CreatedDate, Authorised FROM userPortals WHERE PortalID = {7}

This command says
There is an error in the query
I executed the command with and without the {}

I cannot discover what I am doing wrong.
Do you have a suggestion.

With regards, Ton Hermes
