Afternoon,

Quick question. I recently sent out a newsletter (DNN 4.5) that had an image in it and when the email was received there was no image. The image was stored in the file manager, and I thought it would have been sent in the email. All emails were sent and no errors came back. just that the image had a box with the red X in it. Have I missed something? I did check the online help guide and it shows right in there images can be sent, but I thought I would check.

Anyway, thanks!

You will need to make sure that the image is referenced with the full URL in the HTML, that way people will be able to access the Image.

How is it different from selecting the image file from the file manager? Where would I put the full physical location URL, if that is what you are referring to.

Thanks.

When you are putting the picture in the email, it is just a link, not the actual photo.  So for people to see it in their email reader, it needs to be the full URL.  If you include a picure in an html module, it will just have the image linked as something like "portal/0/images/picture.jpg"  What you need in the email would be something like: "http://www.yourdomain.com/images/picture.jpg"

Oh gotcha..... sorry a little slow today.... I will attempt to resend with the photo. You would think when you import the photo into the text area, DNN would create that link for you. Thank you greatly for your assitance.
