The forum is intended to work with site search as well. Sometimes, however, you will need to go into General Settings and reset the last site index time. If you have a large site, this should be done during a slow period for hte site traffic. This was enabled because of some issues in large sites (such as here) where indexing the entire list of threads is too intense on the background thread that search indexing runs under.
