Hello,

In my site I need to position the div box surrounding the menu to be relative (has to do with sliding another div box underneath it) but when you position the div box surrounding the menu as relative, everything inside of it becomes relative (i.e. the menu is now relative).

I'm not sure if anyone's notice, but when you position the menu as relative the sub menus go crazy... they jump to the right and down about 200px... Any ideas of why it might be doing this and how to stop it?

Notes:

   - I've tried and tried again and there's no way of getting around positioning the menu relative, I need it to be relative for this to work. (relative ignores z-index of static elements because it doesn't go with the natural flow of the document which means the div box I need to slide underneath ends up being on top if it's relative and the menu isn't)

   - I made absolutely no changes to the menu css file.

   - I tried adding relative positioning (moving it up and left 300px) to everything that says "sub menu" in the menu css file and none of the sub menu css styles changed where they appear.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Matt
