Dear friends,

I have add my own .aspx page in dnn website and as we are aware, it inherits the "page" class.

I wish to have edit image clicking which it must edit the content displayed in .aspx page.

i wish to inherit another dotnetnuke class for "IsEditable" in addition to "page" class.

How to accomplish this.

kindly help me..

Hi Deepak,

In order to help you, you need to provide more specific information.

Firstly, is this page(.aspx) added outside the DNN framework? Or have you added a control (.ascx) to a module?

Your control at a basic level must inherit from "PortalModuleBase" which is found in the namespace: "DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules". This will expose the properties you are looking for: "IsEditable" etc.

If you need anymore specific info, please post and I will help you.

Colin

Halo Colin,

Thank you for ur reply.

I have created a module and in that module i have added an .aspx page.

this .aspx page will show up as a pop up on clicking the content in "ViewShowText.ascx" (ShowText is the name of the module).

I wish to have the edit image on the side of the content that is showed up in .aspx page.

so i need that .aspx page to inherit the "PortalModuleBase" Class also.

But i am perplexed at this stage as C# does not support multiple inheritance.

Could u plz help me how to achieve this.

it would be of great help to me.

Again thax for your reply,

Regards,

deepak
