Hi,

How can I check if current user can edit a module? I'm including a Edit Column on a datagrid, but it must be visible only when User is editor...

Can you help me?

Thanks!

PortalModuleBase from which your module control will inherit provides an IsEditable property (boolean) which will be true if the user has edit permission on the module. This property can then be used to set the Visibility property either in the ascx markup or in the code behind of the command column of the datagrid or the Visibility of a particular row's edit image button or link button.

If you need to further restrict editing to the owner of a particular record (row in the datagrid), you can similarly define your own public boolean method which tests against IsEditable and the UserId of the record's owner.
