I've ended up with the strangest problem that I can't seem to get to the bottom of even though it is perfectly repeatable. Using the repository as a portfolio. It works perfectly ONLY the first time you go to an item and do the download. EVERY attempt after that acts as if the download postback caused the repository to return to page one even though the page still shows the current page. I was running 3.13 version of Repository on 4.8 of DNN. So I upgraded DNN to 4.9 and then repository to 3.15. This didn't change this problem at all.

Go to http://www.cornerstonedesign.com/Portfolio/tabid/56/Default.aspx and just navigate to the 4th page for instance (or any other page.) Any download you choose on that page works correctly. NOW - any further click for a download on the 4th page loads the download from the 1st page (you can tell by looking at the filenames.) And in ADDITION, if you click the [NEXT] link to go to page 5, you'll actually be taken to page 2 - confirmation that the module thinks it is on page 1.

This is perfectly repeatable any time you are on a page number greater than 1. First download works, following ones come from page 1. And navigating off the page after a download shows as if you were on page one. At that point you can navigate to another page and have one good download - then you are back in the same boat again.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or have a solution? If the module is remembering the page it is on with v13wstat3, it must be somehow loosing v13wstat3 on the download postback.

any chance you have 'Caching' turned on for the module? check the module settings and make sure the 'Cache' is set to zero.  It certainly sounds like a caching problem .. works the first time, cached, then every subsequent call gets the same data as the first call.

Checked - the cache is already set to zero (0).

Seems if it was the cache, I'd never get past the first page. In this case you can navigate to any page, get one good download and then all following come from page one. It is as if the postback to do the download resets the page numbering back to 1. Is that information stored in v13wstat3 so that there may be some v13wstat3 problem here?

Finally found out what is going on here - on HOST SETTINGS - ADVANCED SETTINGS - PERformANCE SETTINGS, the Page State Persistence MUST be set to "Page" and NOT "Memory"
