I can only seem to have Administrators upload files.  Lets say I want to get a user edit permissions to a specific module.  When I do this they cannot use the Rich text editor to upload files, they dont have permissions.  How can I also give this user file upload permissions without having add/edit access to the entire website?

Thoughts?

There are a couple of issues that might be in play.

1.) You can specify roles which have read/write permissions on folders via the "Admin" | "File Manger" menu.   Click on a folder and specify the permissions.

2.) The FCKEditor can be configured in a variety of ways to determine who can do what.  As an admin click on "Show custom editor options" to modify permissions for all instances of the editor or just for one.

Give those a try and see if that helps.

Unfortunately, solution one does not appear to resolve the issue. I also would like nonadmin users to be able to upload files on pages they create. Changing the permissions (DotNetNuke 4.4) in File Manager does not appear to help.

In my case, it appears that the Upload New File link on Admin screens, such as add page or the Document module, does not appear at all, regardless of permission settings if the user is not an admin. Solution 2 does not really help, since I would like these users to be able to upload files through other modules. Whatever control is reused to manage file uploads and selection in configuration screens seems to be the issue.

Any other recommendations to resolve this issue?

Thanks.

Looks like I misspoke. Solution 1 does work. The link does not appear, however, until a folder with the write permissions is selected from the drop-down list. I was just jumping into the page settings and didn't see the Add New File link and assumed the fix wasn't working.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the help.
