I am having trouble with all rich text fields for a user profile within DNN.

The HTML does not render correctly.  In the FCKEditor from the "User Profile" page, I type:

This is a test.

Then it gets saved as:

This is a < strong >test< /strong >.

I tried disabling Ajax, and this still did not correct the issue.  I also tried configuring the fckconfig.js file to no avail-

I want to give users the ability of creating an HTML bio about themselves with pictures, etc.

Can anyone help??

You will have to use the latest 02.00.03 version. It adds a workaround for this problem (This is a DNN problem and not a provider problem)

After installing the version, you will have to enter the profile and press the "Show custom editor options", then disable the htmlencoding in the Other Settings section.

Hi,

I have tried this with version 2.6.3 and still no luck - the data collected using the RichText data format in the User Profile is still displaying the HTML tags.

For example:

<p>&#160;"The commercial sector is generally acknowledged as oneof the most significant contributors of greenhouse gas emisions. Our owner and tenants"</p>

I have recently upgraded my DNN install to 4.9.4 - is there another work around?
