Hi, I am setting up a persional server for a school project. So I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP, and then DNN. Everything is working fine on my local intranet. But now I need to put in on the internet. I have everything configured on my rouder, because I can configure iis to point to a all html website on my system and it works fine. My problem comes when I try to configure DNN to point out. When I do I get a 404 error.

Could someone go through the steps to set up a server with dnn. Or give me things to check.

Thanks, Ryan

make sure to add the final domain address as additional Portal Alias BEFORE transferring the site:

  • login as host
  • go to Admin :: site Settings
  • scroll down to the end of the page
  • add the new domain and save changes.
