I am using UDT 03.05.01

I have a column set “visible” false but it is still shown in a regular user account. In the “Settings” of the module, I unchecked “Display all Columns”

I have searched forum and noticed that someone had mentioned similar problem, but I didn’t find the answer. Is any solution?

Thanks very much in advance.

which rendering type are you using? Grid view (shold work), standard or custom XSL?

Thanks Sebastian for you quick reply.

My understanding of the feature of “visible” might be wrong.

There are two “forms” in the UTD application:
1. one is for DISPLAY, and
2. the other is for “ADD NEW RECORDS”

I now noticed that the column set “visible” false is disappeared in the DISPLAY “form”, but it is shown in the ADD NEW RECORDS “form”.

I am designing a workflow application. There are two user groups: regular user and processing user. I created UTD for regular user and made a “reference” copy for processing user. So I want to hide some columns in SECOND "form" for regular users when they “ADD NEW RECORDS”.

Is it possible?

Thanks again.

It is possible in form and List, the upcoming successor of UDT. In addition to visible, which only applies on list mode, you can declare columns as private, which are only shown inside the form if the user has the correct permission.
