Hello,

Are there any alternatives to providing the SQL userid and password in the web.config file?  I would like to make my installations more secure.

Thanks!

if you use local "Network Service" for database access, you can use integrated security.

Would it be possible for me to use the network service on a SQL server that is a separate machine?  If so, what would the entry look like in the web.config file?

Also, my goal is to have the web server in our DMZ and the SQL server on our internal network.  Will the Network Service work in this scenario as well?

Thanks.
