I've bougth two skins previously and uploaded no problem, however I just bought gloss and in the installation instructions it want's me to change default.aspx.  I've looked in file manager under admin and host and can't seem to find it.

I thought it would be located under skins default.

Can anyone help me?

Wow, I wouldn't trust a skin that requires you to make changes to your default.aspx file. The default.aspx file is in the root of the DNN website, you can't access it through the file manager module.

Any idea what changes this skin is trying to make to default.aspx?

No, not shure but it is the new GLOSS which is a best seller.  I went in from the back end but still can not locate it.

Best seller or not, I would be very hesitant to replace any core functionality with a skin that you didn't design yourself. If you replace the default.aspx file now, and then upgrade your DNN site with a new version of DNN that replaced default.aspx file will get overwritten by the DNN upgrade, which could potentially cause problems with your skin.

If it were me I would contact the skin developer and ask them for a way to use the skin without having to modify core DNN functionality to get it to work.

I have to agree with Chris.  But the Default.aspx is in the root of your site, not in the portal where the File Manager can access it.  Whatever the folder your DNN is installed in is where you'll find the file.

Make sure you make a backup, and realize that any upgrade will likely overwrite it.
