Note: I am new to DNN, so bear with me :).
Maybe I just cannot find it, but I really miss here some information about localization of the Forum module. So I have questions:

  1. Can it be localized?
  2. Was it localized? If yes, into which languages?
  3. If I will make a localization, are you interested in it to post it on your pages?

1) Yes it can be localized using the Core localization infrastructure

2) Some people have localized it already. I personally use the Dutch localization wich I downloaded from the Dutch DNN Usergroup. I have spotted the french version online too but I don't remember where it was.

3)  I am convinced you will find a spot where someone will want to host your localization files and give you all the credit you deserve

What location are you looking to localize it for?  I am project lead for the News module and will be actively trying to recruit people to localize it in various languages.  I can't speak for the forum project, but I would love to have your help on the news project, which is much less complicated than the forum.

I plan to localize into my native language, i.e. Czech. As I am quite new to DNN, I haven't examined the News module yet, but if I will find it suitable for my project, or if it won't be too big to translate, I will be pleased to do the work.
