Using DNN 4.9.

When I install a skin in host mode, any parent portal displays this host skin fine.

When I install a portal skin in a child portal, it displays fine.

However when I install a portal skin in parent portal, the skin doesn't display at all. Is this normal?

I am using Windows XP. I create a parent portal for a domain say 'testsite.com'. I have testsite.com point to 127.0.0.1 in the 'hosts' file. I bring up testsite.com in the the browser. I log in, I install a skin but whenever I create a page and use this skin, the skin doesn't display. The skin installs without errors.

How do you get it to display? I tried parsing it both ways and had no effect. I did this test on a brand new DNN 4.9 installation too.

I found the problem. If I have a parent alias and an actual IIS site with the same domain name, IIS gets confused and the DNN path to the portal doesn't work.
