As Sebastian mentioned earlier, if you have any information regarding a suspected security related issue with the DotNetNuke framework, please send all available documentation and recreation steps available to security@dotnetnuke.com.

Public discussion of potential security issues can be the rest of the community at risk.

FYI - I never received any response from my email - how can I be sure the core team is aware of this issue?

Hi,

I hope you can rule out this rumor fast or find a solution if reproducable. McAfee security will stop showing a 'hacker safe' logo on my site if there is a potential rumor or an issue of weakness in any security level. The issues in version 4.5 to 4.8 took me 3 months to convince everything was proper working again.

I hope you are wrong.

J.

Rodney,

we received your mail @ Tue 09/12/2008 12:17 and a reply was sent Tue 09 December 2008 16:50. I never heard back from you so assumed that it was not an issue (to be honest if there was an issue like this in 4.9 I'd expect 100's of people to have encountered it). I've resent the mail with the list of suggestions in it to you.

Thanks,

Cathal
