Hello everbody,

I have strange isseu with my vm-test001 (vm-ware server), We use this virtual machine to test ower portals. And sins a few days the machine is getting a cpu load of 100% when this hapens a few people are working on it. I thinks this cased by the w3wp.exe processes of dnn, Because i killed the processes and restrated the proces and it was fixst for a day or two, So this isn`t real solution.

If someone has real solution to my problem, Ill be hapy to hear it.

Thanks and greets,

Yorick

There are a number of things that can cause a DNN site to spike in usage, and most likely nothing is related specifically to your Virtual server.

I would start by looking at the frequency of the Search Indexer process as well as looking at any newly installed modules, it is possible they are causing undue stress on the server.

I'll second Mitch's assessment in that it is likely a third party module or the schedular. I pesonally host several sites for clients (some large, some small) on VM's (VMWare Infrastructure) and have never had an issue.
