We are in need of a module/page where we can configure all parameters for all our modules. Say, configuration for pricing, taxes, properties, etc.. We want this to reside on a particular module/page. We actually have an existing project/solution for this. I want to know how to add a new tab, just like the default admin and host tab and then restricting it to particular users. Or basically, I want to know how to integrate our existing project/solution to DNN. Maybe you could help me to figure this one out. This problem may be easy for some. I'm just very new with DNN that's why I'm having a hard time doing this rush task.

Thanks!

to create an admin module in DNN 4, you need to tweak the database. This is not recommended, I suggest to place an admin/host only item in action menu of your module instead.

there will be an option in DNN 5, to include admin modules in your module packages.

 Hi Sebastian!

Thanks for the reply.

When you say "place an admin/host only item in action menu of your module instead", how do we do that? I can't seem to understand it, maybe because I'm new to DNN. I can't picture it out.

Thanks!

this needs to be done in your code, check out the Module Development Guide from the Resources > Documentation area and tutorials at dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com .

Alright then, I'm going to check it out. By the way, you said "there will be an option in DNN 5, to include admin modules in your module packages.", can you elaborate on this one? Are there going to be new features similar to what we are trying to do? I can't seem to find any documentation regarding new features of DNN 5. Maybe you know some resources where I can review the new features.

Thank you for your help!
