Hello,

For some reason, when I try to add a Blog module to a page, I get this error.  The site otherwise works fine and I can add any other module without difficulty.  The SQL account that DNN uses has db.owner privelages and the SQL service is running (as I said, all other modules work fine and can retrieve data).

Here is one of the errors that appear on the page after I try to add a new Blog module:

Error: Blog is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Has anyone else had this issue?

Regards,

Kevin

Are you using MSDE, which has a limit in concurrent connections to be used? Please check your database setup and consider to move to a more current version (SQL Server 2005 or 2008 Express or beyond)

No, I have a full version of SQL 2005 (I get a licencse while I'm in school).

Ok, just to make sure, I tried placing one of every default module on a page on my site to see if it was just the Blog module, or if it was another module that I've never tried yet and sure enough, I get the same error when I try to load a FAQ, UsersOnline, OR a Blog module (I also get an error when I try to load a GoogleAdsense module:

The file '/rvic/Admin/Vendors/Adsense.ascx' does not exist. at System.Web.UI.Util.CheckVirtualFileExists(VirtualPath virtualPath)

but I'm pretty sure that one's unrelated and just needs to be configured correctly).

What do all these modules have in common that they would puke on the SQL, but no other module as any problems with it???  It just doesn't make sense.

Thanks,

Kev
