I've had to remove and re-install DNN several times, and have been able to ultimately install each time, but always with the same problem, and (to be honest) I'm not sure what I'm doing to fix it.

Environment:

Vista Ultimate with SQL Server 2005 (IIS 7.0)

When I run the install, most of the time it lets me get to the screen showing installing, but all it does is create the Version table and 3 stored procedures that check versions...   It doesn't error, it just hangs....

I've done all the normal, created the database, given Network Service access to the DNN directory, etc..

Can ANYONE help?

Thanks!

did you grant full access to the database and web.config?

Which authentications did you enable (dont enable impersonation!).

are you using pipeline mode?

Using SQL authentication, and user has dbo rights to database

NETWORK SERVICE has full rights to source directory and web.config

Not sure what you mean by pipeline mode

And the full installation folder and all subdirectories?

IIS 7 can run in several pipelines, Classic Pipeline or Integrated are the two defaults.  You should be able to run Integrated.  Also, make sure you check the pinned post at the top of this forum.
