I'm running the latest verson (3.01.08) of repository and I'm getting the following problems

I'm exporting the RSS feed of the repository (that I'm using as news module).
But I'm running into 3 problems:
1 - it takes forever to update the contents.. but probably due to cachin issues
2 - The link inside the RSS is the url of the page (not specific to an item of the repository)... this direct link is in the guid tag... in the form of ".../tabid/112/Default.aspx?ItemId=3"... but this url is still redirected to the first item inserted
3 - if you navigate using the dashboard, then the next prev controls doesn't work... I have one item per page

this is the rss url http://dnn.watertribe.it/NEWS/tabid/112/moduleid/503/RSS.aspx
and this is the single item http://dnn.watertribe.it/NEWS/tabid/112/Default.aspx?ItemId=5

So... anyone knowing of workaround for these problems?

not sure about item 1 on your list .. .but 2 and 3 are fixed in 3.01.09

3.01.09 has been delayed waiting for the final documentation ... should be any day now, but won't know for sure until the doc is done and reviewed, and I'm not exactly sure when that will be, but I thought for sure it would be last week :(

Fabian,
I just upgraded to 03.01.09, but I still have the same problems:

  • Linking to the guid generetated in the XML (http://dnn.watertribe.it/NEWS/tabid/112/Default.aspx?ItemId=2) brings me always to the latest entry of the repository
  • when navigating with the repository dashboard I cannot navigate with the next/prev buttons.... (http://dnn.watertribe.it/NEWS/tabid/112/Default.aspx)
Since you told me that these bugs would have been fixed in 09 release, what could still be wrong?

Simone

hi,

this is the format your links should be in:

http://dnn.watertribe.it/NEWS/tabid/112/Default.aspx?grm2Id=2 Its basically the same as you have shown, with grm2 instead of Item. I tryed this on your site with items 1 through 5, and it works ok.

Your rss should be showing the above link in the <guid> but it isnt. I would disable the rss feed, clear your portal cache, then re-enable rss inside the module. Hopefully, that will get you the updated feeds. Your Next and Previous buttons were working for me, so i don't know about that issue.

Hope that helps you.
