From my experience changes happen way less than daily anyway.

Very few people have write access to the core, and when changes are made they are usually checked out over several days.

That being said, it would be nice to give read access and just say up front that only released versions will be supported.
My experience is that very, very few people would keep up with changes between regular releases anyway.

Out of all the 30 or so people that have read access right now I would bet that less than 5 of them are working with current source code.

this is totally wrong, cause all the trustees have write access, 4 of them are DNN corp founders, 1 an employee and ~5 are other trustees , making a number of  10 in total, as my hands may count. And AFAIK they are all active (or at least alive).

So you think that all 4 of the DNN Corp. founders are working daily on the current source code?

You have read access Sebastian, have you obtained all of the latest source code today?

How many days out of the last 30 have there been changes checked-in?

Charles is working hard (multiple checkins nearly every day) to get next version ready, other corp members contribute from time to time according to the subjects they are focusing on.

just as an FYI John, last 30 days there have been more than 600 checkins in vault, both in the 491 version and in 500 (combined count), by charles and board members actually, pretty much every day....(except for weekends)
