Hi,

  I am creating a custom module, I'm using a DataGridView.

  I am trying to use localization in order to change the HeaderText for boundfields that part of a DataGridView.

  I have used meta:resourcekey with the right pair (key/value) in a resource file. The resource file is in the folder called App_LocalResources.

  Still it doesn't work, the strange part is using resourcekey for an <asp:button> or <asp:button> I am successful in changing the text.

  Could you tel me, please how can I localize the HeaderText in DataGridView and why meta:resourcekey is not working either in DataGridView or even in <asp:label> or <asp:button>.

I want to thank you in advance for your help

Hi,

  I have checked that document and it doesn't give too many details about localization.

  I have tried implicit, explicit expressions with LocalResources, explicit expressions with GlobalResources, it doesn't work.

  I would like to know if the HeaderText of a GridView control can be localizable.

  Also I don't understand how come the meta:resourcekey it is not working, I have a resource key for neutral, en-CA and fr-CA, it's the same name on all 3 resource files.

Thank you again for your help.

Hi,

  I am able now to localize (using implicit expresions and Local resources) the HeaderText from a GridView that is included in a user control.

  On Page_Load you have to insert

  Localization.LocalizeGridView( ref GridViewID, LocalResourceFile);

 <asp:boundfield HeaderText="Title" meta:resourcekey="Title">  it's important to use on the meta:resourcekey exactly the same string as in HeaderText.

  On every local resource file it has to be a resourcekey Title.Header.

Thank you.
