(Currently using the demo version on the DNN site)

Hello, I am new to the DNN system, but I have been programming for years and am very excited about using this platform.  I want to use the system to create a subscription based "member's area" where each person who subscribes gets access to their own "back office".  It seems like DNN does this very simply.

However, I am a little confused as to the structure of which Roles are used.

In my current system, I have an Administrator Account that manages the subscribers.

Subscribers pay a monthly fee, have a member's area AND have a public area everyone can see.

I seems like the "Administrators" "Registered Users" and "Subscribers" system will work for me, but I'm trying to figure out how the Roles work together...

Does this question make any sense????  LOL!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

One other thing :)  As I'm playing with the modules, I added the "Contact" module to the administrator site and added a contact...  I then registered as a User and then logged into the User account and saw the SAME contact...  I want to have a separate contact manager for each account.  Is this possible?

Thanks.

Accepted Answer

please notice, that Contacts module has been abandoned ~ 3 years ago, use UDT or (for a member directory) Effority User Directory (available from DNN forge) instead.

HI Sebastian, thanks for the note!  They should remove that from the demo site....   I will take a look at UDT and Effority...   Thanks again!
