 Hey Roei,

I was confused by this as well - an open source project without the core source being released. But then I'm easily confused, eventually found them.....

The other DNN modules I have looked at contain the source in a .zip file within a .zip file, easy, no confusion.

But within the store module the source files are within the Source package within a Zip file called DNN_Store_Source.resouce, because of the .resource extension the file hides its true purpose. Just unzip the .resource file and all will be clear.

Hope this helps

just an FIY for any unsuspecting reader of this thread: All DNN modules come with complete source. You will find the sources inside the resources.zip file of the module. The easiest thing you can do is to just install the source version like you would with the install version. Sources will then be unpacked in the correct location....

Please disregard the claim of the original poster that sources are not provided!

We expect that finding them be explained or obvious. I'm new to DotNetNuke and trying to learn it so that I can code a custom module. Documentation is limited and very basic so I figured the best way would be to look at the source code for one of the more complex modules. I just spent two hours trying to find the source code for the store module. I downloaded an "Install" zip file and a "Source" zip file. I spent a lot of time, comparing the contents of the two, googling .resource file types and googling for the source.

Seriously, I don't think its fair to expect someone to install a source package, especially someone new to DNN. Even putting a readme in the source package or even putting the .zip extension on the ".resources" file would have saved me 2 hours.
