Hello, Once Again Please forgive my ignorance as I am a DNN Newbie. I purchased a skin pack from Snow-covered with multiple layouts and colors. When I went to D/L to my computer I had to D/L each color pack separately. So, now I have 18 Separate folders (or Skin packs for each color) As I am new I am assuming this is a normal download procedure for skin packs.

I only uploaded 1 Color package to my site at first to try it out. Now I want to have the same layout, but with different color skins for some of the different pages ( I know consistency is a key aspect, but my site is a sports site, so I'd like to have colors similar to the sports teams for each page.

So I try to upload a new color but instead of adding a new skin color it replaces my old skin color package. the other problem is with in each color package all of the files are named the same (e.i. Horizontal Framed Full.ascx or interior framed imaged.ascx)

So in short my question is there an easy way to upload all of the skin packs/ colors and have a way for me to easily identify which color I am using. I tried putting all of the skin packs/folders into 1 main folder and zipping it and uploading that way, but it didn't work.

What I was Also thinking was to manually go into each folder and change the name of each file to include the color, As I know I wont use every skin with in each package can I move only the ones I plan on using to a new folder.  So it would look something like this---Blue Horizontal Full.ascx, Brown Horizontal Full.asx, Red Horizontal Full.ascx  Do I also need to copy the .jpg files for each skin?

There are several files that are the same in each folder also such as "media\breadcrumb.gif" "Media\BarFrameR.gif" and so on. I was planning on copying 1 set of those to my upload folder also, as I am assuming they are needed.

Thanks in advance for any tips/help

I have seen skin packs all come in one bundle, and others in separate downloads.    I assume that each skins color has the same name.zip (skin.zip), so this is why the skin is replacing the previous one uploaded.

You can rename the skin.zip to something else and try uploading the skin, which should then load each into their own skin folder.   Then it won't matter that all the contents have the same name as other color skins.   Changing files within the skin pack would involve changing every point where they are used including the contents of the files.

Sorry for the delay in the reply, Yes these were separate downloads w/ each being named skin.zip, so I changed a few to RED SKIN.zip, Orange Skin.Zip etc and that works fine , I now have a few different color skins uploaded correctly.

How do I change the name of my first installed skin package, I'd like to add the color name to that package also?

Before I saw this post I actually tried to change the names of a few skins from each pack, bundled into 1 folder and tried to upload them. I got an error message, but from the skins drop-down panel the folder is listed, when I select it the message says "No Skin Files Exist In Folder", How / where do I go to delete this empty folder.

Also what does "Parse Skin Package" mean?

Thanks for the help, sorry for more questions
