What is the proper way to include Javascript in the <head> tags of a DNN 5.0 skin?

In DNN 4.X I included a bit of server side script that added the <link > tag between the head tags.

Is there a more graceful way of doing this now?

Try using the Page Settings / Advanced - you'll see page header tags - that seems to be the most elegant - but it's page level not site level.. that's the only only downside.

Or you can put into the default.aspx file - but that's global if you have many portals - may not apply

Or you can purchase a module like on http://www.dnnstuff.com and it's got an inject anything anywhere module - which you could set to be visible on all pages, so when you add in pages it will automatically appear.

These are the three approaches I use depending upon the situation

The most elegant way is to use a skin object, but there is no real advantage over the server side script method you mention

How would I go about adding the Javascript  reference to the Default.aspx? I have seen some code for DNN 4 but not DNN 5? what is the best way to do this? I am going to use only one portal. I have included the jquery files I need in the javascript folder. OR how do I do this in the skin? I am trying to add some custom scrollbars with the jscrollPane jquery plugin in a TEXT/HTML module.

Thanks,

Jeremy Cummings
