I saw this thread and was wondering if the search issue was addressed in version 3.01.08?

Is the Repository searchable by the core search?

I am using a third-party module that will search the Repository folders via the Microsoft Indexing Service but I would prefer to use the core search if possible.

The current version, 3.01.08, has its own search function in the Repository, and works really well !! The core search has been fixed in the 3.01.09 from what Steve and his team have reported. This should also resolve the RSS problem.

I think the Repository's search is better for searching, but you still need the core search functionality as it is tied together with RSS somehow. If you could find a way to leverage the Repository search, I think that would be the way to go.

Yes, I agree that the Repository search works quite well as it will search the title and description.  But it lacks one key area - searching within the file; hence, that is why I am using a third party module that returns the results via the core search.

Any plans on integrating text searching within documents either in the core search or repository search?

But the search within the repository module doesn't support phrase search, ie non consecutive phrases/words.

Hello G-Hunter

What RSS problem was there? Do you think it's related to my problem here?
