To answer a common question I have just posted the following blog article; Which DotNetNuke module package should you purchase?  For the decision as to which edition of professional modules you should buy.

I would like to see a good "Shoutbox" similar to the one at http://www.shoutmix.com/main/

It would run off of my server, adding smilies would be performed from an admin menu. It would be nice to have the same feature as http://www.shoutmix.com/main/ with the admins have the ability to delete/edit/ban.

I currently use shoutmix, and my users use it extensively for quick communications with other members online.

Mitch, my community website has been selected by our local law enforcment to be the informational website for the federally funded "Weed & Seed" program. I am working on setting up an E-Watch program. For this program, local residents opt in/out for important crime newsletter via email.

I would like to see a program where emergent crime alerts could be sent via SMS on their cell phones where here they can also opt in/opt out.

Would this be a do-able module that would cover all cell phone carriers?
