Hi

All of a sudden I started to get the following message when trying to add/edit a user account. The last thing I did before it started was creating new resources files to my multi-language site. But since I though I did something wrong there I already removed all new resx files but the problem persist.

Could someone help, I'm stuck just when I wanted to open our site to beta users.

Thanks,

OrenG

did you try to restart application (in host settings?) if this doesn't help, you need to provide version history of the portal and user management modules.

Sebastian thanks for your prompt response.

I did several restart to the application, I think it helps once so I successfuly add an additional user, but then the error return and many restarts didn't help again.

DNN version is 4.9.0 and I guess the user manager has the same version since I didn't changed it. I also have Effority User Directory installed may it be related?

Thanks,

OrenG

Hi

I couldn't wait so I decided to try an upgrade to 4.9.1, that fortunately solved the problem. However I'll be thankful if someone could give me a hint why something like that should happen. As I said before the only thing I did since my last use of the user module before it breaks was that I created and edited GlobalResources.he-IL.Portal-0.resx, maybe it is wrong to copy the existing file rename it with the local and edit it, shall I do it only from the language editor?

Thanks for trying to help and for any answer,

OrenG

So I was too quick to think the problem was solved.

I tried again to edit the resource file, now I did it from the language editor, and again I get the same error.

Does someone have an idea what could be wrong?

Thanks,

OrenG
