Just installed DNN 5.0.0 on my home PC to try it out.

Used the install wizard (first time I have used this). Ran DB scripts okay, everything else went fine and portal started okay.

However, when trying to login as "host", login appears to succeed (i.e. no message saying username/password incorrect) - however it just returns to the home page with Register/Login still active - instead of saying I am logged in as host and with expected additional menu choises, not just "Home"...

What am I doing wrong - hopefully it is simple! Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply - unfortunately no joy.

Tried a different browser (i.e. FireFox) which I have only ever used with one site - exactly the same issue.

Any more ideas?

Ah, could this be an AJAX issue? I have being most recently using VS2008 on my new machine and not necessarily installed everything for prior versions...
