If we forget the bugs in the code for the moment and look what needs to be done.

Here is a list of items in random order.
 
Modules needs to repackage
Skin needs to repackage.
Language packs needs to repackage
Documentation.
Source code needs to be released.
More testing needs to be done.
 
To do the repacking we need to know the design goal. Eg. What is an extension ? What is a module and what is a language package?  What is a core language extension?  
To do proper skinning we need to know what skinobjects are available and what parameters they use.
First we need to know the design then the technique to implement the design before we can test the implementation. 
 
How do we start?

Jan, this is not correct. I assume your statement should read "not all of the source code is released yet", which is a task we are working on.

I am working on some testing using Watin.  Would you like to help out?  There are thousands of tests that need to be written.  Unit tests for teh source would be welcome too.  Send them to me philip DOT beadle AT live DOT com DOT au.
