Hi Salama,
Sorry it's taken so long to replay but I didn't get any email that you posted a question,
The problem with DNN store is that there is no product attributes/options, multi-lanuage, SIPS gateway (French), plus a few more minor things that I could have lived with.
Also when I started to look at DNN store v1.0 it had a few bugs that I must say the current team has cleaned up. I spent a long time getting a working store from DNN v1.0 and did a hell of a lot of code based on adding additional functional that was created from database changes and extra modules that plugged into the store functionality, while this works it was not compatible with the provider templates that the store adopts. This gave me a decision of to start again with my code and my point of view (using DNN as a sounding board) or try and change DNN store into something it's not. Based on the control of the project and the aim I was going for I decided that starting again from a blank page would be quicker and easier. While I don't include all the provider framework that the DNN store has, NB_Store does what it needs to do now and not in two years time. I think the development of DNN store has a problem of suffering from trying to create pefection and a universal provider system, in a world that needs results now, not perfect ideas. I think the best way forward is to do and get working! Then brake down the code we have working into providers and interfaces to try and create a generic store that everyone can change add to and use how they wish.
Sorry.. I didn't mean to get onto my soap box....
I'm currently upgrading my ecommerce websites from the dnn (v1.0)/NB_Store hybread to the new NB_Store code if your interested in looking at a prototype NB_Store store which I'm currently moving to NB_Store look at
http://www.pastis-des-homs.fr
This store is basically DNN v1 with NB_Store prototype code to make it worked as my client wanted. NB_Store has been designed to do this plus more with minimal setup and better usage.
Sorry if I've rambled on a bit to much,
Regards,
Dave.
